For The Love Of Bob is a new space on our website to share your thoughts, and read others’, on just what that ‘something’ is about Bob that strikes a match in you!
One reason being a Bob Dylan fan is so rewarding is how much there is of his music and words to discover, and rediscover. Joan Baez said, “His music touches you or doesn’t touch you; but if it does, it touches you really, really deep.”
The depth and breadth of what Bob gives us is enormous, with many different styles and sounds – and for every turn of Bob’s career there’s a fan who will adamantly attest that THAT particular Bob is the BEST Bob! Whether you have a particular favorite era or believe that “nothing is better, nothing is best,” we welcome you to participate and share your love of Bob!

About Us
Welcome, Bob Dylan Fans!
Welcome to The Bob Dylan Fan Club, the only fan club started at Bob’s request. We met him, not accidentally, in St. Paul, Minnesota, before the last show of the 2005 U.S. Summer Tour. Please read our Origin Story for the fuller account of how The Bob Dylan Fan Club came to be!
The Bob Dylan Fan Club became a thing in 2006, at a time when there were already so many Bob things. We endeavor to provide a space that emphasizes elements that Bob expressed as important when we got that chance to meet him – live performance, fan participation in that live performance, his sound. More than anything, the BDFC is a place to share what we love about Bob! We do this in person and virtually: at shows and meet-ups when Bob is on tour, and in featured areas of this website as well as in our very active Facebook group.
We’ve recently introduced two interactive features as ways of preserving Bob’s legacy for and with his fans. Check out Bob Dylan Live and For The Love Of Bob, where we ask you to share some of the most revelatory moments you’ve had during Bob’s live performances and answer other questions that will delve deep into your fandom.
Our Facebook group is the best real-time place for members of The Bob Dylan Fan Club to interact and share the latest, so join there if you haven’t already! We hope that this site can serve as a place to more lastingly enshrine fans’ thoughts about, experiences with, and love for Bob Dylan and what he does. We’ll see what it brings!
